Food Safety Week 2022

14th Feb 2022

Back to Latest News

The Groups annual Food Safety Week will take place across all sites from the 14th – 18th of February.

The purpose of the event is to get employees interacting and learning about food safety through a range of engaging quizzes and activities, with the opportunity to win some fantastic prizes throughout the week.

Employees working from home can also join the event through a virtual stand which includes informative posters, webinars, interactive quizzes and a NEW food safety game.

This year’s event will focus on ‘collaboration’; the theme aims to highlight the importance of working together to produce safe food.

John Coleman, Group Food Safety Quality and Animal Welfare Manager commented:

“We need to understand the food safety concerns of our colleagues and other stakeholders, allowing us to concentrate on the issues that are current and affecting everyone. We want to stress the integrated nature of food safety, focussing on the fact that it is our responsibility to work together to produce a safe and wholesome product.

“The Food Safety Team have worked hard to organise the week and ensure that the event remains as inclusive as possible, particularly for those who cannot visit the event on-site. Content will be updated daily, and we hope that everyone will join in on the activities, learn something new, and most of all, enjoy the event.”
