We would like to congratulate our very own Robert Tunney Group Food Safety Audit Manager for being the first employee within the company to have completed the requirements for BRCGS Professional. BRCGS Global Standards Professional is an academic recognition scheme for technical and quality staff who wish to become recognised as a qualified expert on Safety Management practices, using the BRCGS Global Standards as a foundation. This learning programme provides international recognition for the key skills and knowledge essential for product safety management.
Robert Tunney Group Food Safety Audit Manager commented on his achievement; “Taking part in the scheme has provided me with the additional skills needed to enable our company in moving forward in achieving food safety excellence and supports our food safety vision and mission to be recognised as having an industry leading culture of food safety, quality and technical innovation”.
Dawn Meats’ 32-day aged Irish Angus striploin steak was crowned the ultimate winner in the 2025 World Steak Challenge. The steak, which was also named ‘Europe’s Best Steak’ and the ‘World’s Best Grass-Fed Sirloin’, is sold at Lidl supermarkets in Ireland and Poland.
Dawn Meats also won the title of ‘World’s Best Grass-Fed Ribeye’.
